Petar Dobrović
Petar Dobrović , in Serb Cyrillic ПетарДобровић and in Hungarian Peter Dobrovits (born with Pécs the January 14th 1890 - died with Belgrade on January 21st 1942, was a painter and a Politician Serbe of Hungarian origin .
Born with Pécs, in Hungary, parents of Croatian origin , Petar Dobrović made its studies of painting to Budapest and Paris. It exposed to Budapest in 1911 and, in 1917, its fabric the Gipsies , was bought by the Museum of the Art schools of this city.
The August 14th 1921, it was elected President of transitory the repubic serbo-Hungarian woman of Baranya-Baja, then it settled in the Royaume of Yugoslavia. He became professor with the Academy of the Art schools of Belgrade. Died in 1942, it is buried with the new cemetery (novo groblje) of Belgrade.
Petar Dobrović was famous for its Portrait S ( Portrait of actor , 1917) and its Paysage S. Initially registered in the mobility of the Impressionism, it was attracted by the Cubisme, before being regarded as a representative of the Serb colorism. Many of its works are preserved at the Galerie Petar Dobrović in Belgrade.
