Peruvian general elections of 1963
The Peruvian general elections for the period 1963 - 1969 were held the June 9th 1963 in order to entirely renew the executive power and the legislative power.
At the time of these elections, Fernando Belaúnde Terry was elected for its first mandate.
Context
After a Coup d'etat which had stopped the preceding elections of 1962, Nicolás Lindley López, convened new general elections.

Results
- Fernando Belaúnde Terry 39,1%
- Víctor Raúl Haya of Torre 34,4%
- Manual A. Odría 25,5%
- Mario Samamé Boggio 1,1%
Combined with the Christian-Democrats and having the semi-official support of the Communist party, Fernando Belaúnde Terry was elected for its first mandate. But it did not have the majority with the Congress of the Republic vis-a-vis the two other parties which had been combined. It will be reversed in 1968 by Juan Velasco Alvarado, less than one year before the end of its mandate. It will be necessary to wait 17 years and the end of the military regime so that new elections are organized in the country.
