Appeared in Persian at the same time as the Mèdes towards the year millet before our era, the Perses are also Indo-European people . They are quoted as of the V {{E}} century before J. - C. by Hérodote. Persians will found in the History two important empires:

of the VI {{E}} with the IV {{E}} before our era, under the Achéménides.

of the III {{E}} at the 8th century, under the Sassanides.
