Pershing stage
The stage Pershing was a Stade of football located in the Bois of Vincennes (Paris), not far from the Hippodrome of Vincennes and INSEP. The Pershing stage of Baseball is used today by the Paris CPU and the Patriots of Paris.
Inaugurated in June 1919, this enclosure dedicated mainly to football and the athletics could accommodate between 10.000 (during its inauguration) with 29.000 spectators, with his maximum in 1929. It is there that were held the interallied Jeux during the summer 1919. These competitions and the construction of the stage were wanted by the American general John Pershing.
The Pershing stage was the theater of four finales of Coupe de France of 1921 with 1924 crowning three times consecutively the Red Star (1921 - 1923) then honouring the first victorious provincial club with the Cut: the Olympic of Marseilles (1924).
