Canyon Songs

Perry Blake is a Chanteur born the May 10th 1970 with Sligo in Ireland.

Crooner melancholic person and melodist, one owes him the albums Still Life (1999) and Broken Statues (2001, recorded as a public in Belgium), published after its first album sobrement entitled Perry Blake in 1998.

In 2002 it leaves California , that it by-product with Marco Sabiu. This album mixes Trip-hop and song. One finds there the influences of Leonard Cohen, David Sylvian, Scott Walker or even Nick Drake.

It signed some titles for the original soundtrack of the film Presque Nothing . The pieces were not retained for film, but nevertheless were included in an mini-album entitled… Almost Nothing . Perry Blake is also present on the original soundtrack of the televised series Largo Winch.

He leaves Songs for Someone in April 2004, The Crying Room in February 2006 and Canyon Songs in 2007.

Perry Blake is especially known in France, where its first five albums were distributed under the label Naïve. He collaborated with Francoise Hardy in 2004 on the album Tant of Beautiful Things and Emilie Simon.
