History

In 1239 is set up in parish the Villa Nova de Pereio in Aquilina . It is then a village of plowmen and loggers located on the road which carries out from Paris in Chartres.

It is to feed out of water the castle of Versailles that Louis XIV made dig in Perray-in-Yvelines a pond of ten hectares supplied with a system of drains. That made it possible to cleanse the territory of the commune (approximately 15.000 ha) and by consequence the development of the village.

The history of Perray-in-Yvelines was recalled by the abbot Jules Violette (cleaned in Perray of 1886 to 1919) in his history of the commune of Perray and more recently by Doctor Alphonse Marest (mayor of Perray of 1971 to 1978 and 1985 to 1989) in “ Perray and Perrotins ” and “ the century of primary school education ”.
