Pernod

The company Pernod is a French distiller. The company, inherited the House Pernod Wire created by Henri-Louis Pernod at the beginning of the 19th century, is integrated in the group Pernod Ricard in 1975.

History

  • 1805 Henri-Louis Pernod creates the House Pernod Fils with Pontarlier, in the Doubs
  • 1871 Ariste Hemard founds with Montreuil Distilling Hémard
  • 1872 Jules-François Pernod founds with Avignon the Company Pernod Père and Fils
  • 1926 Fusion of the companies of Pontarlier, Avignon, Montreuil, which become the Pernod establishments in 1928
  • 1938 Creation of the mark Pernod 45
  • 1951 Launching of the mark 51
  • the 1959 Pernod Establishments take as company name " Pernod"
  • 1965 Pernod repurchases the Distilling of Suze
  • 1975 Jean Hémard (President de Pernod) and Paul Ricard (President de Ricard) create the Group Pernod Ricard

Marks and produced

Even if Pernod became synonymous with drink anisated in France and elsewhere, the group diversified since the Années 1970 by distributing many other alcohol marks and spirituous impetuses or acquired by Pernod or since 1975 by the head office Pernod Ricard.
