Pernette of Guillet

Pernette of Guillet , born with Lyon towards 1520 and dead the July 7th 1545, was a French poetess .

It was born in a noble family and married in 1538 one of Guillet. She met Maurice Scève, in spring 1536, he has thirty-five years and she sixteen. She becomes her pupil. Their impossible love will become the source of inspiration of its poems, published postmortem by her husband in 1545 under the title of rhymes of Pernette of Guillet . The majority of its worms were written to be put in music and were sung. When in Maurice Scève it publishes Délie , a collection of poems that it dedicated to him without naming it. She died in 25 years of an epidemic of plague.
