Peripheral nervous system
The peripheral nervous system (SNP) is the part of the nervous system made of ganglia and nerves which makes circulate information between the bodies and the central Nervous system (SNC) and carries out the driving orders of this last.
The peripheral nervous system includes/understands:
- the somatic nervous system.
- the autonomous nervous system.
Somatic nervous system
It receives sensory fibers of the skin, muscles and articulations and gathers primary driving fibers of the Muscle S. It makes it possible to interact with the outside world while taking part in balance and motricity. For that the Innervation somatic order the tonicity and contraction of the muscles of the skeleton.
Autonomous nervous system
The autonomous Nervous system directs the internal organic functions, like the nutrition and the Homéostasie. It does not form part of the volunteer in general and is distinguished from the somatic system which relates to the relations with the outside world. It innerve primarily internal bodies: the sensory neurons of this system transport information of the visceral functions to the central nervous system and the motoneurones innervent the smooth muscles of the internal organs (cardiac muscle and glands).
It includes/understands two subsystems:
- the sympathetic System (relations of alarm)
- the parasympathetic System (normal conditions)
