Perdasdefogu is an Italian commune of the Province of Ogliastra in Sardinia.
It includes/understands a polygon of shooting inter-arm (Salto di Quirra) where was launched the experimental first fused European. The remainders of a rocket were brought back… on an oxcart (Scene included in the mural fresco in the center of the village). Before the installation of military base, the village counted some 1.000 inhabitants (it counted 580 in 1850 of them according to Casalis). It counts of them today a little more 2.000. Because of its insulation, Pardasdefogu was chosen, with Talana, another village of Ogliastra, as village-witness for genetic research within the framework of the " project; Genos Park".
Perdasdefogu shelters an old Romance church (San Sebastiano) dating from the 10th century, in the past with ground beaten and currently paved out of ground cuite. For tourism, Perdasdefogu, enorgueillit of a natural park, a cascade (in period of rains!), of seven nuraghes (fortifications dating from the Bronze Age, in truncated cone), of the " domus of janas" (houses of fairies) and of two tombs of giants (approximately 4 m out of 20 m), several caves being the subject of recherches.Actuellement, Perdas (diminutive very used by the inhabitants) has all the services which one can await from a modern commune: mechanics, mechanics, station, banks (with bancomat), offices of architects, keeps medical, a pharmacy and for the culture, a library, bookstores, and even a small theatrical team.
