Percy Downe

honourable the Percy Downe , B.A. (born the July 8th 1954) is a Canadian senator .

Of 1986 with 1993, Downe is executive assistant with the Prime Minister for the Island-of-Prince-Edouard, Joe Ghiz. Downe moves with Ottawa following the liberal victory at the time of the federal election of 1993, and is used as an executive assistant for the Secretary of State for the War veterans. He exerts then the same functions for the Ministers for Fishings and oceans, then the Minister for Labor.

It joint with the cabinet of the Prime Minister as a director of the nominations in 1998. He becomes principal private secretary of the Prime Minister Jean Chrétien in 2001.

He is named with the Senate for the province of the Island-of-Prince-Edouard in June 2003 on the recommendation of Christian.
