Pentraeth
Pentraeth is a village of the island of Anglesey, with the Wales (the United Kingdom).
The bard-prince Hywel ab Owain Gwynedd was killed close to Pentraeth in 1170: With died of his/her father Owain Gwynedd in 1170, quarrels of successions had burst between its sons. The half-brothers of Hywel, Dafydd ab Owain Gwynedd and Rhodri ab Owain Gwynedd, forced it to flee in Ireland. It raised an army there and returned to claim its share of the kingdom, but it was beaten and killed at the time of a battle close to current Pentraeth.
