Penrith Castle

Penrith Castle was built between 1399 and 1470 like a defense against the raids Scottish. It was built by William Strickland which will become bishop of Carlisle and archbishop of Canterbury. The castle is located at the south of Penrith, in Cumbrie, in the North-West of the England.

The castle is maintained by the foundation English Heritage.
