Peninsula of Ungava

The peninsula of Ungava of the Nunavik, Quebec, Canada, is located between the Hudson Bay, in the west, the Détroit of Hudson, with north, and the Baie of Ungava, in the east. The peninsula of Ungava belongs to the Péninsule of Labrador and covers a surface of approximately 250.000 km ².
The few 10.000 inhabitants of the area, for the very great majority Inuits, live in 12 villages along the coasts. The largest village, Kuujjuaq, are also the administrative capital of Nunavik.
