Peninsula of Izu
The peninsula of Izu (ja 伊豆半島) is located at approximately 100 km in the south-west of Tokyo.
It extends on 3.000 km ² and represents one the third of the Préfecture of Shizuoka.
The peninsula is famous for this water and the town of Shimoda. Shimoda was a port open the abroads by the Convention of Kanagawa signed in 1854 under the cane of the commodore Matthew Perry.
