History
In 1996, the Penguins de Pittsburgh repurchase the Aces de Cornwall with the Nordiques of Quebec leaving the Quebec to join the Colorado. They then decide to move the frankness from its town of Cornwall but at the time do not know yet in which city, the frankness will evolve/move.Old names of the frankness were:
- Express train of Fredericton of 1981 with 1988
- Citadels de Halifax of 1988 with 1993
- Aces de Cornwall of 1993 with 1996
Shirts and logos
Since their creation, Penguins carried various behaviors during the seasons. Indeed, the will of the direction is to at least propose two new shirts per season (residence and outside) as well as an additional shirt per year. Actually, in 2004, Penguins carried to five different shirts. The special occasions to leave the shirts are the day of Christmas or the day of the Saint Patrick. However, except for the special shirts, the shirts of Penguins of WBS always raised on the shoulders the logo of the Penguins de Pittsburgh.
With regard to the logo of the frankness, the drawing always has was the same one with some alternatives: the basic drawing is one muscular Penguin which patinates with a hockey stick. On certain shirts, the penguin is all alone, on others, it is surrounded by a circle with the writing of the name of the team.
