Pekatralatak

Pekatralatak French group of Anarchist-punk formed in Seine-et-Marne in the middle of the Nineties. The group east dissolves in 2005.

It was made up its last years of a singer, a guitarist, a bass player and a box at rate/rhythm… According to the times the group knew many line up different. Their music is inspired by the Bérurier Noir, but also by the Ludwig von 88 and in a general way by a whole fringe of the alternate punk scene and anarchopunk of the years 1980 (Kochise, the Corpses, Heyoka, Verdun…). The texts, with very strong anarchistic tendency and revolutionist evoked various fights like the anticapitalism, the animal release but also the Basque independence fight or the self-criticism of the punk movement. They often played with Fœtus Party and recorded Split CD live whole in 2004. They tied besides with the passing of years particular contacts with the groups Urban Blight, Tekken, Zeppo, CIMTIERE LIKID, AK47… Pekatralatak always functioned without compromise, that it is about the distribution, in the concerts, engagements/decision makings, the texts or the music. There remained free and autonomous. Their name PEKATRALATAK comes from a transformation of the name P4 TO the ATTACK for esthetic reasons… The P4 term being a reference to a radical antimilitarism. they left a half dozen cassettes demonstration (of which one in Croatia and one in Lithuania on local autonomous labels), 1 Split CD with FETUS PARTY, 2 EPs, 1 Split EP with Tekken (grind Toulouse, produced by the fanzine vendetta) and Split LP with onemanband URBAN BLIGHT… These own-produced discs have summers carried out with the assistance of the label Maloka. After 4 rounds in Eastern Europe (primarily in ex Yugoslavia and Romania) the group ceases its activities and prepares posthumous CD.

The guitarist officiates henceforth in the group Varlin.
