Pedro Nuño Colón of Portugal , duque of Veragua, marked of Jamaica (Spanish: Gift Pedro Nuño Colón of Portugal, duque of Veragua, marked of Jamaica there of Villamizar, cop of los Gelves ) (~ 1615, Spain - December 13rd 1673 with Mexico City) was there Vice-roi of News-Spain of the December 8th 1673 with the December 13rd 1673.

Colón of Portugal is one decendant direct of Christophe Colomb, it is knight of the Ordre of the Golden Fleece. It also occupied the functions of admiral and governor of the Indies. He is the first Viceroy of News-Spain named under the reigne of Charles II. Its mandate will be shortest among that of all the viceroys. He dies five days after his formal taking up the duties.

The April 28th 1672, Enrique de Toledo there Osorio, Marquis de Villafranca is named Vice-roi of News-Spain, but it declines this station.

Colón of Portugal is named Vice-roi the June 10th 1672, it arrives at Veracruz in September 1673. There remains some time with Veracruz to inspect there the fortifications, the Spain is then in war with the France.
