Peak of Finiels
The peak of Finiels or top of Finiels (1699 m) is the culminating point of the Mont Lozere, mountainous chain extending from Florac to Villefort, in the East-West direction, and of the Bleymard to the Bridge-with-Monvert in the North-South direction. It is also the culminating point of the Lozere and the Cevennes, in front of the Mont Aigoual (1565 m), located at the limit Gard - Lozere.
The peak is an arrival, or a stagnation point, for many excursions through the Mont Lozere.
The GR70 (Chemin of Stevenson), whose departure of the stage is with the Bleymard and the path of the Lawns whose departure is with the collar of Finiels pass in the vicinity, and one can go up at the top while following the peaks. The path of Mallevrière, at the beginning of Finiels, as for him is marked out until the top.
