Peak of Arraille

The peak of Arraille or peak of Laraille is a mount of the circus of Lescun located on the watershed Pyrénéen at the border free - Spanish. It is bordered in the west of the Pic of the lake of Chourique (2  138  m) and in the east by the collar of Arraille (2  011  m) then the peak Pourtet Barrat (2  028  m).

Etymology

Its name comes from the Gascon Arraille “fall”. Its south-eastern slope is called l' Arralla of Foyas “the fall of the pits”. Its south-western slope accommodates the lake called Ibon de Acherito or Lac of Chourique.

Access

Located at the south of Lescun, the peak of Arraille is circumvented in the south by HRP.
