Peace of Pontoise

The peace of Pontoise was concluded between the July 28th 1413 and the August 8th 1413.

In August 1413, Jean de Berry and his nephew Jean without Fear, duke of Burgundy enter Pontoise. This peace cannot in no case to be signed without the agreement of Paris, indeed the capital retains captive the king Charles VI of France, his wife Isabeau of Bavaria and its son the dolphin of France Louis de Guyenne hostages of the Cabochiens. Those after deliberation in each district of the capital will accept the peace suggested by Charles VI, except for the district of the Markets where one finds a strong concentration of Cabochiens and the Hotel of Artois (residence of the dukes from Burgundy to Paris). This peace will allow the release of Louis of Bavaria (future Louis VII of Bavaria-Ingolstadt) and of Edouard III of Bar held the Louvre.
