Peace of Jam Zapolski
The peace of Jam Zapolski is a peace treaty, according to the seat of Pskov, concluding the Guerre from Livonie (1558 - 1582).
He is concluded with the assistance from the Légat from the Pape Antonio Possevino and was signed the 15 January 1582 for the Union of Poland-Lithuania by the king Etienne Ier Bathory and for the Russia by the tsar Ivan IV the Terrible one and establishes a 20 years truce. According to the terms of this treaty, the Russia renonçait with the Livonie and with Puldaskie but no territory lost.
The truce will perdura during 20 years until in 1600, when a diplomatic mission with Moscow carried out by Lew Sapieha concludes from the négocations with the tsar Boris Godounov; the Poles broke it in 1605, entering the capital.
