Paxillus

The Paxilli constitute a kind Champignons Basidiomycètes of the family of the Paxillacée S, order of the Boletales.

The term is drawn from the Latin Paxillus which means " piquet" , without one including/understanding really the reason of this scientific etymology. See on this subject the " Boletin" circle of Mycologues Amateurs of Quebec gone back to December 1957.

They are mushrooms with blades which their microscopic characteristics, and sometimes their aspect, bring closer however boletus. They are without gastronomical interest, even toxic.
