Pavel Babaïlov
Pavel Konstantinovitch Babaïlov was a pilot of hunting and Soviet As of the Second world war, holder of the Ordre of Héros of the Soviet Union.
Career
- Born the February 25th 1919 with Neustroevo , area of Sverdlovsk, it joined the Red Army in 1939 and fought like Fantassin during the Guerre of Winter, against the Finland. In 1941 it took course of piloting in a Aéroclub and the following year, in 1942, it obtained its pilot's license to the military college of the Air of Roustavi .

In July 1942, it was sent to the face, this time as fighter pilot, and quickly became chief of Escadrille to the 163.IAP (= regiment of hunting), within the framework of the 2nd face (= Groupe of armies) of Ukraine. During aerial combats it obtained not less than 2 victories by Taran, i.e. by boarding of an enemy apparatus in full sky. The October 14th 1944, after having cut down a German plane, it was touched in its turn and was killed.
