Pauperism
Paupérisme (of Latin pauper , poor) is a term which applies to the Contracting State of poverty of of the population.
Historically, the term appeared in England, then in France under the Monarchie of July, in first half of the 19th century, whereas the working condition worsened under the effect of the rural migration and the living conditions increasingly more difficult, dependant on the first steps of the Industrial revolution.
Karl Marx denounces impoverishment like a process of economy political induced by industrial capitalism.
Today, the term is used to qualify a state of poverty within part of the company.
It can be employed to qualify a policy or a model of company, having for consequence to maintain under their condition precarious the most underprivileged people.
This state of poverty is measured on the level of richness reached by the individuals: the money is not the only criterion to be taken into account, there are also time and the space one has to live.
It is the value of the time which makes it possible a person to have more or less money. The poor people are not paid same manner for one hour of life as the rich people. The poor people are maintained in this state because they constitute a labor not expensive. Working often much because they are less expensive the system of production, the poor people do not have time to deal with them. From there to say that the poorer one is and the more the life is short, it has only one step there…
Space available to a person to live is also a criterion to be taken into account to measure the level of pauperism of an individual. For that, it is necessary to take into account the quality of the habitat, inhabited surface, but also, the number of people who live there. We could also add like criteria the number of kilometers or miles traversed in a life, but also, the number of different places attended in one day, and the numbers of people who are under the orders of the studied individual.

Emile Zola often described poverty inherent in the working condition of the 19th century, in particular in the Pole-axe and, more largely, in Rougon-Macquart .
