Paulu-Battistu Halter

Paulu-Battistu Halter Bernardini (born the December 14th 1982) is a pilot of rally French originating in Corse-du-Sud.

He lives with Ajaccio.

Very early predisposed with the mechanical sports, the young person Paulu-Battistu Halter gains in 1999 the championship of karting " Kartopen" organized in Corse-du-Sud.

Its beginnings in rally go up at 2002 with two participations within the Cut Peugeot 106 Ground. It remains within the framework of the Championship of France of the Rallys on Earth the following year and takes part in the Trophy Citroen Saxo T4. Very quickly, it proves to be a fast pilot, fighting among the best as of the second test, and regularly signing better times of its category. He in addition carries out a true exploit with the Earth of Diois 2003 by signing a time " scratch" with its small Sax in front of the WRC of head, then in full brawl for the victory. It does not have whereas 20 years and takes part only in its fifth rally!

After one punctuated season of training of superb performances, but also of mistakes of youth, the Corsican pilot engages again in the Trophy in 2004, in order to transform the test and thus to gain the " carotte": a wheel of pilot of factory. But the pangs of mechanics will decide some differently, and although always brawls about it for the victory or places of honor, Paulu-Battistu will see only one arrival of this Championship 2004. There it tests at the end of the season its capacities on asphalt at the time of rallys on Corsica, and reveals still an excellent potential…

2005 will be the year of all the challenges and, at 22 years, Paulu-Battistu engages in the Championnat of France of the rallys on Earth in the intention to gain it. Never such company had been tried by a so young pilot in France. In order to arrive to this absolute victory, it lays out of a Peugeot 206 WRC 2003 version " client". After two handles of training at the wheel of this powerful car, and two places on the podium acquired under extreme climatic conditions, it is at the head Championship with more than ten points in advance on its main adversary. But victim of personal problems, Paulu-Battistu will not be able to defend its leadership until the end and stops its season right after these two rallys. It then hangs up again the helmet to be devoted to its community projects.
