Paula Maxa
Paula Maxa (? - September 23rd 1970) was a French actress of theater, specialized in the roles of victims in the parts of the Grand Puppet, of 1917 with 1933.
Called the " Sarah Bernhardt of the Chaptal" dead end; and " the woman most assassinated with the monde" to be put at death 30.000 times on scene, its play scenic were characterized by the excess of the gestures, the cries of terror, the eyes exorbities, the tears or the simulation of attack of nerves.
According to its memories, it will have indeed been " whipped, martyrized, crossed in sections, restuck with the vapor, passed to the rolling mill, crushed, scalded, bled, vitriolized, impaled, boned, hung, buried alive, pulp with the beef stew, broken, quartered, shot, chopped, lapidated, shredded, asphyxiated, poisoned, burned alive, devoured by a lion, crucifiée, scalpée, strangled, cut the throat of, drowned, pulverized, stabbed, revolverized and violée".
Its principal partner of scene to the Grand Puppet was Georges Paulais.
It sometimes happened to him to leave its fetishes roles for less bloody productions, light comedies and some roles with the cinema. In 1933, it was director of a theater close to Pigalle, the Théâtre of the Defect and Virtue , street Fontaine.
