Paula is a novel of the writer Chile in Isabel Allende, published in 1994.

The novel tells the painful one and painful suffering of Isabel Allende vis-a-vis the disease of her Paula daughter. This one, reached Porphyrie, sank in a major Coma of which it never awoke.

The structure of the novel is double: Allende, indeed, reports the history of her family while expressing, at the same time, her suffering and its hope that Paula awakes and remembers what occurred in its " absence".
