Paul di Resta
Paul di Resta (born the April 16th 1986 with Uphall, West Lothian in Scotland) is a racing driver British.
Biography
Cousin of the brothers Franchitti (Dario and Marino), Paul di Resta begins his career in automobile sport at the end of 2002, in the British championship of Formule Renault, discipline in which it remains until 2004.In 2005, it reaches the statement championship of Formule 3 Euroseries. Within the British stable Manor Motorsport, it finishes 10th general classification, which is worth to him to gain at the end of the year the McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver off The Year Award , in other words the trophy of the best British hope decreed by the weekly magazine Autosport . In 2006, always in F3 Euroseries, Di Resta joined the rows of the powerful French stable ASM, with which it gains the title at the conclusion of a long duel with its German fellow-member Sebastian Vettel. During the year, it is essential also out-championship on the Masters de Zandvoort de Formule 3.
Although regarded as one of the most solid hopes of his generation, Paul di Resta did not manage to find the financial supports to continue his progression in the single-seater and to reach the anterooms of the Formule 1 which are GP2 Series or the World Series by Renault. In 2007, it decides to move away from the single-seaters, to join the championship DTM, to control a Mercedes.
