Paul de Chasteigner

The Vicomte of Chasteignier had already made appear, in 1870, under the pseudonym of Jacques the Soft, a work entitled Of Bordeaux the . He is the author of several works on the Vin of Bordeaux.

After general considerations and a historical note on the wines of Bordeaux, it devotes various chapters to the classification, the choice, tasting, observations on the wines in bottles, with the order of service of the wines with table. A Viniana , or collection of old proverbs and maxims follows on the wine.
