Paul Steckle

Paul Steckle (born the May 10th 1942) is a Canadian politician ; he is currently Député with the House of Commons of Canada, representing the Ontarian district of Huron-Bruce under the banner of the Liberal party of Canada.

He is regarded as one of the most preserving members of the liberal caucus. He was always opposed to the control of the firearms and the federal register of the firearms. In 2005, Steckle with proposed that the derogatory Clause of the Canadian Charter of the rights and freedoms could be used to prevent the introduction of the Homosexual marriage in Canada. He voted against the C-38 bill of the government which legalized the homosexual marriage.

Although it remains opposite with the homosexual marriage, it recognized that it is not very probable that the law is changed. " We already had this combat, " he declared. " The law is the law, and I must accept it. I am a legislator and I must accept that the majority owes the emporter."
