Paul Pochet-Lagaye

Paul Pochet-Lagaye was a Politician French.

He was mayor of Clermont-Ferrand during 9 years, during the time recovering the Second world war.

Paul Pochet-Lagaye belongs to the family Radical-Socialist. He forms part like city council man Republican majority of Clermont-Ferrand in the Twenties and beginning of the year 30. In 1935, it succeeds Philippe Marcombes, deceased one month after its re-election with the head of the town hall. Paul Pochet-Lagaye remains Maire until July 18th, 1944, where Gabriel Montpied is named President of the special delegation for the Town of Clermont-Ferrand.

He was very active in the economic circles. He was in particular Departmental President of the Union of the Trade and Industry, President of the Employers' federation of the Confectioners of Auvergne, and Treasurer of the Chamber of commerce.

War veteran, Pochet-Lagaye was made Chevalier of the Légion of honor.
