Paul Oakenfold

Paul Oakenfold (born the August 30th 1963 with the the United Kingdom) is a producer of electronic musics and a DJ.

Biography

Paul Oakenfold starts to mix at the 16 years age with his friend Trevor Fung in a bar with Covent Garden. Its principal musical influences come to him from the scene Hip-hop New-Yorkaise which he attends during the Années 1980. Of return in England, he is producer and agent for the label Champion Records.

In 1987, Oakenfold and its friends, Trevor Fung and Ian St Paul, spend a few months to Ibiza, in Spain, and discover the music of the dance club. Paul Oakenfold returns in DJing during first half of the years 1990, after one short period like member of the Grace group.

He is also DJ resident of Cream (of Ibiza) of 1997 with 1999. It is for this period that it started to be made known with the the United States of America, with in particular the exit of its album Tranceport in 1999, very received by the American fans of Trance.

Later this year, its label left Perfecto Presents Another World with Oakenfold as mixor. And in 2005, it produces a remix Sorry song of Madonna which is available on its individual.
