Paul Géraldy
Paul Géraldy , pseudonym of Paul Lefèvre (Paris 1885 - Neuilly-sur-Seine 1983), is a French poet and playwright.
It publishes its first collection the small hearts in 1908. He is a very great popular success - what will not be re-examined front any more Prévert - with its second collection You and me in 1912.
Its theater is a traditional psychological theater, which it revivifies thanks to a subtle apprehension of the family relations within the intellectual lower middle class of the inter-war period.
Its poetry sensitive, is sometimes qualified the obsolete one ( the lamp-shade ), which is worth then a certain success near the women. It delivers its confidences with words of the every day ( You and me ).
Géraldy was unfortunately omitted anthology of the French poetry of Pierre Seghers, which made it almost unknown of the generation born after war. The journalist Jean-François Kahn will redécouvrira it and will make it redécouvrir with the public the time of a television program to the beginning of the year 80.
