Paul Frederic Simon (born the October 13rd 1941 in Newark Heights) is a singer American type-setter.
Biography
American song writer and performer, Paul Simon was known for his collaboration with Arthur Garfunkel, initially within the group Tom & Jerry at the end of the the Fifties, then like member of the duet Simon & Garfunkel, formation pop with the folk influences which recorded several important albums between 1964 and 1970, of which Sounds off silence (1966) and Bridge over troubled toilets (1970). The duet also recorded the original soundtrack of the film the Prize winner (The Graduate) , realized in 1967 by Mike Nichols with Dustin Hoffman, from which the title Mrs Robinson was drawn, one of their greater successes.
After its separation of Art Garfunkel in 1971, Paul Simon wrote and recorded an album solo called Paul Simon in 1972. It was not its first attempt, since it had, many years before in 1965, carried out a first album in England, The Paul Simon Song Book . It continued to compose during the Années 1970, and left in 1986 its greater success solo, Graceland .
In 1992 Paul Simon marries Edie Brickell with which it will have three children.
