Paul Fournel

Paul Fournel is a writer French, born the May 20th 1947 with Saint-Etienne.

Course

Former student of the National university of Saint-Cloud (1968-1972), he is the author of a thesis of doctorate entitled the traditional Lyons Puppet (1808-1878) study historical, set of themes and textual of a popular form of art , Paul Fournel becomes editor at Hachette, with the Encyclopædia Universalis, at Honore Champion, Ramsay (1982-1989) then at Seghers (1989-1992).

He however does not cease writing and exploring new forms, being appointed regent of the Collège of' Pataphysique and chair Oulipo. He is president of the Société of the men of letters of 1992 to 1996.

He occupies then of the stations of the cultural administration as director of the the Alliance Fran1caise of San Francisco (1996-2000), attached cultural of the embassy of France to the Cairo (2000-2003) and directing arts person of the Regional center of the letters of Languedoc-Roussillon.
