Paul Faure

Paul Faure (1878 - 1960) is a French politician, directing SFIO in the interval wars.

Paul Faure enters in policy to the Parti working French (Guesdiste) in 1901, it is editor association of the Populaire Center. Starting from 1915, it adopts the minority of the SFIO " centriste" and Pacifist of Jean Longuet.

In 1920, he is opposed to the adhesion of the party to the Internationale Communist. Starting from the Congress of Turns, Faure, which cultivates the verb " Marxist " , was the owner of the socialist apparatus, Député of Saône-et-Loire of 1924 to 1932 and 1938 to 1940.

In 1938, it supports the Accords of Munich, then joins with Vichy in 1940. It was excluded from the SFIO in 1944 and founds the democratic Socialist party which takes part in the Rassemblement of the Republican lefts (RGR) but did not have any political impact.
