Paul Dukas
Paul Dukas is a French type-setter born with Paris on October 1st, 1865 and died in Paris on May 17th, 1935.
Biography
He studied with the Conservatoire of Paris and was the pupil of Guiraud, a friend of Bizet. He left the Academy to devote himself to criticism and the musical composition and was friendly of Claude Debussy.Although respected professor (it formed Georges Favre), his perfectionism led it to destroy many of his partitions in the years 1920. Skilful Orchestrateur, its work the most famous residence the scherzo the Sorcerer's apprentice , inspired by Der Zauberlehrling of Goethe. This work was popularized by the film Fantasia, of Walt Disney. He is the author of a symphony and an opera, according to ARIANE and Bore-Blue of the Belgian writer Nobel Prize Maeterlinck, which met success.
