Paul Devaux (born the April 10th 1801 with Bruges, dead the January 30th 1880 with Brussels) is a Belgian politician .

He is lawyer with Liege where he meets Joseph Lebeau and Charles Rogier. He founds with them the Matthieu Lansbergh , which becomes then the Policy . This newspaper gradually, this liberal newspaper adopts a unionistic tendency frankly .

Elected with the National congress, it defends at the sides of Joseph Lebeau the candidature of Auguste de Leuchtenberg against that of Louis of Orleans.

In 1831, it takes share with the government of Joseph Lebeau as a minister without portfolio. It is him which suggests proposing Léopold of Saxony-Cobourg-Gotha like candidate with the throne of Belgium.
