Paul Cartledge

Paul Cartledge is a British historian, specialist in Greek history.

After studies with the University of Oxford, he becomes professor with Clare College and chair Faculty of Humanities of the Université of Cambridge.

In 2002, it received hands of Costis Stephanopoulos, president of the Greek République, the gold Cross of the Legion of Honor. It is also consulting for the televised series “The Greeks: Crucible off Civilization” (“Greeks, crucible of civilization”) for the BBC and “The Spartans” (“Spartans”) for Chanel 4. It chairs the British committee for the restitution Greece of the marbles of the Parthenon.
