Paul Bocuse

Paul Bocuse (born with Collonges-with-Mount-with Or the February 11th 1926) is a Grand chief cook French (Three stars with the Guide Michelin since 1965) and appointed Cook of the Century by Gault-Millau and Pope of the kitchen in 1989. It directs several Restaurant S to Collonges-with-Mount-in Or and Lyon.

Biography

Childhood

In 1926, the February 11th, it is born with Collonges-with-Mount-with Or with ten kilometers in north from Lyon in the area the Rhone-Alps. Wire of Georges and Irma Bocuse, cooks of wire father in the same village since the 17th century. The young person Paul Bocuse does not derogate from the family tradition.

In 1975, it is made chevalier of the Legion of Honor by the President of the Republic Valery Giscard d'Estaing with the Elys3ee palace. For this occasion, it creates celebrates it “Soupe with the Truffe S V.G.E”.

In 1987, it creates the Bocuse d' Or or world contest of the kitchen.

Cook of the century by Gault-Millau

In 1989, it is indicated “Cook of the Century” by Gault-Millau. He is regarded as the “Pope of the kitchen”.

In 1995, Paul Bocuse carved by Daniel Druet, is the first chief to enter to the Musée Grévin of Paris.
