Paul Berthier

Paul Berthier (1884 - 1953) is the cofounder of the Manécanterie of the Small Singers to the Cross of Wood in 1906. He is the author of a thesis of doctorate of right on legal protection of the type-setter of music which made authority a long time and of a test on Jean-Philippe Rameau.
He was Organiste with the Cathédrale Saint-Etienne of Auxerre until in 1953.
He is the type-setter of famous the Berceuse of Christmas Dors my dove .
He is the grandfather of the singer France Gall and the father of the type-setter and organist Jacques Berthier (1923 - 1994).
