Paul Bernardo

Paul Kenneth Bernardo (August 27th 1964 -) is a Canadian Serial killer .

History of the crimes

The June 15th 1991, Bernardo kidnapped Leslie Mahaffy, fourteen years old, which he violated and killed. Its dismembered body was found in the lake Gibson close to Sainte Catherines in Ontario.

The April 16th 1992, with the assistance of his wife Karla Homolka, it kidnapped Kristen French on the parking area of a church. Bernardo misused it and killed it. Later, this year, Bernardo started to deceive Homolka which left it in January 1993. In exchange of a Plea of bargaining, which started a controversy in the public, Homolka was condemned to twelve years of prison.

In 1995, took place the lawsuit of Bernardo during which were presented vidéos rapes, made by them. During the Lawsuit, Bernardo affirmed that the murders were accidental, then that Homolka had made them. The 1^er September, Bernardo was condemned to the life imprisonment and was declared dangerous.

Bernardo and Homolka also responsible for had died for Tammy, young sister of Homolka. Homolka wanted to give Tammy to Bernardo like Christmas present. To reach that point she doped it with drinks mixed with Halcion, then used a fabric saturated with Halothane to make it unconscious. Tammy died of suffocations in its vomit.

Bernardo made also several rapes in the area of Scarborough, always in Ontario. He is suspected of other murder, including knowledge, Elizabeth Bain, for which Robert Baltovich was condemned.

Biography

Bernardo is an assiduous reader of stories of murder in series. Its nickname Paul Teale is a homage to the fictitious killer Martin Thiel presented in the film the criminal Law .
