Paul Ariès

Paul Ariès , born on May 11th, 1959 with Lyon (France) is an political economist, and writer French militant anti-sects and in favor of the equitable Décroissance.

Biography

Paul Ariès, born in 1959, was during his youth one of the leaders of the National union of the Committees of Action High-school pupils (UNCAL) then of UNEF, it took part in actions of support for the dissidents (in particular by the transfer of militant materials for the Czechoslovakian opposition). He was President of the Center Europe Third world (ONG entitled to the commission of the human rights of UNO) for France. Paul Aries was one of the “large witnesses” at the time of the lawsuit of Jose Bove in Millau (“disassembling” of the McDonalds restaurant). He is also pilot in June 2006 with the lawsuit of the “déboulonneurs” (antipub) of Montpellier. Paul Ariès teaches political science but also the history and the sociology of the food (literary prize of the national Académie of kitchen). He was member of the international jury of association Slow Food. He is one of the main actors of the fight anti-sects.
