Paul (lawyer)
Iulius Paulus or Paul was a famous lawyer and Roman lawyer at the beginning of the 3rd century.
It was with another lawyer, Ulpien, assessor of the Préfet of the court Papinien. It becomes itself prefect of the court under Alexandre Sévère, after one short period of banishment under Élagabal.
Its work is more considerable still than that of Ulpien (86 writings divided into 319 pounds) and is re-elected because of its originality and the clearness of its talks. It milked there not only of the Civil law, but also of procedure, criminal Law and Public law. As a law professor, one owes him two books of Institutiones , six books of Regulae (Rules) and an entitled book Liber singularis regularum (book single of " règles").
