Patrick Streiff

Patrick Philipp Streiff (born the July 8th 1955 with Birsfelden, (Swiss)) is the bishop of the Église Méthodiste Unie of Europe of the South and Centrale which includes/understands the countries the Albania, the Algérie, the Austria, the Bulgaria, Czech Republic, the Croatia, the France, the Hungary, the Macedonia, the Poland, the Serbia-Montenegro, the Slovakia, the Suisse and the Tunisia.

Patrick Streiff made his studies with Birsfelden and Muttenz. Of 1975 with 1979 it studied with the theological seminar of the Church of Méthodiste Unie to Reutlingen (Germany) and of 1979 with 1983 at the University of Bern (Suisse).

1979 he married Heidi Albrecht, with which he has four children, Rahel, Corinne, Manuel and Myriam.

1984 it was devoted Pasteur of the Church of Méthodiste Unie. It was used like Pasteur for Lausanne - Vevey, Neuchâtel and Bienne.

From 1988 he was the director of the Méthodiste Center of the Theological Formation in Lausanne and 1992 the professor of modern Chrétienne history.

In 2005 Patrick Streiff was elected the bishop of the Church of Méthodiste Unie in Europe of the South and Centrale. He is the successor of Heinrich Bolleter and will assume his office starting from May 1st, 2006.

Beside his service like Pasteur and professor, Patrick Streiff is also the president of the European Section of the " Historical company Méthodiste of Monde" and works as consultant for the establishment of a theological education in the French-speaking countries of Africa and with Kampuchea.
