Patrick Senécal

Patrick Senécal (1967 with Drummondville -) is a writer of horror Québécois.

Biography

Graduate in French studies of the University of Montreal, it has taught for a few years the literature, the cinema and the theater with the Cégep de Drummondville. He publishes in 1994 a first novel of horror. In 1997, the Théâtre of the Unicorn assembles to Montreal its first part, the Adventures of the inspector Hector . Its third novel, On the threshold (Alire, 1998), obtained enthusiastic criticisms and inspired a feature-length film carried out by Eric Tessier, with Michel Côté and Patrick Huard. After Aliss (Alire, 2000), which obtained the Boreal Prix 2001, it signed a psychological suspense, the seven days of retaliation (Alire, 2002). In 2001 and 2003, the Alire editions republished its first two novels, that is to say 5150, rue des Ormes and the Passenger . Its last novel, Oniria (Alire, 2004), is a fantastic and horrific thriller. He also wrote the 7th episode of the series the Room No 13 (the Heart With the work, carried out by Eric Tessier), which was diffused in Radio-Canada on May 15th, 2006. In February 2007, after 3 years of labor, it leaves the vacuum (Alire 2007). It is the first new novel to appear in large size in this publisher and the médiatisée exit of its existence. It was at the top of the sales during several weeks. In September 2007, it publishes its first novel for young people, Seven like Setteur, with the editions of the Motor, directed by the actor Martin Larocque.
