Patrick Macnee

Opened in 1874, the central Cimetière of Vienna ( Zentralfriedhof ) is the largest cemetery of the Austrian capital , located at the South, in the district Simmering.

This cemetery counts in particular the tombs of many famous musicians. It is the June 22nd 1888 which Beethoven and Schubert joined their tombs in the “district of the musicians”, who were gathered with the central cemetery. The tombs of the musicians are divided into arc of circle: Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, von Suppé, Johann Strauss (father and wire), as well as the monument of Mozart, this last not being buried here, but in the cemetery St Marx.
