Born with Paris the March 14th 1959, Patrick Dupond is a Danseur French.

Years of training

His/her father leaves the family home very early. He saw a simple and modest childhood in company of his mother and the companion of this one. Patrick is a child sharp, impetuous, he passes the major part of his time with his friends in the streets of Paris. To channel all this energy, his/her mother decides to register it in a club of Football then to courses of Judo. The Patrick young person quickly gives up these activities which prove not very interesting for him. The love at first sight intervenes one day, when it observes a course of ballet dancing; his/her mother thus registers it with a course of dance.

Its capacities are very quickly noticed and its professor of dance advises to him to take courses of a higher level. It is at that time - with the end of the year 1967 - that his/her parents meet by chance Tessa Beaumont, ex-partner of max Bozzoni, itself former dancer with the national Opéra of Paris. This last immediately has a presentiment of the talent of the young dancer, and agrees to take in hand the training of Patrick Dupond.

At the time of the events of May 1968, it must temporarily stop its school activities and its courses of dance; when it takes again the way of the school, it is victim of ostracism on behalf of his comrades because of his quality of young dancer, and it is presented to the selections of entry at the school of dance of the national Opéra of Paris.

It is allowed at the school of dance in 1969, for the training course of three months preparation; it goes over its ten years. It then successfully makes a success of the test among at the school of dance and will train all its ballet dancer there, while continuing to take additional courses at max Bozzoni, each evening. As of September 1970, it adds to that of the twice-weekly courses to the Wacker studio.

Its first professor at the school of dance is Daniel Franck, with which the Patrick young person will have conflict relations. March 14th 1975, Patrick Dupond is allowed to integrate the body of Ballet of the Opera of Paris as a squares training. It is sixteen years old.

Impatient to affirm itself as a dancer, it gains the gold medal of the international Concours of ballet of Varna in Bulgaria, with the variation of Albrecht to the second act of Gisele , that of Siegfried to the third act of the Lac of the swans , the solo of the Ballet Études of Harald Lander, the variation of Basilio in Don Quichotte , a solo drawn from the Ballet the Corsair , and finally a contemporary choreography created by Patrick Dupond itself.

After that, its career takes a new rise; it creates various title roles, and continues its training of soloist. It is brought to dance so much with the Opera than on international scenes, and carries out these two careers of face.

Patrick Dupond becomes First dancer in December 1978. He dances then for the largest choreographers, Rudolf Noureev, Alvin Ailey or the Boléro of Maurice Béjart. He is named principal dancer in 1980. He dances with partners like Noëlla Pontois, Monique Loudières, Sylvie Guillem, Isabelle Guerin, Marie-Claude Pietragalla.

Its career does not stop with the Opera of Paris since it is named artistic director of the French Ballet of Nancy in 1988. It becomes, at age the 31 years director of the dance to the Opera of Paris, station which it preserves of 1990 at 1995. Since then, it continues a career of international soloist. Choreographers like Maurice Béjart, John Neumeier, Rudolf Noureev, Alvine Ailey, Small Roland, Youri Grigorovitch, Alwin Nikolais or Twyla Tharp entrust the first roles to him. After the dance

Patrick Dupond is victim of a serious accident in January 2000 which it constrained with a physical rehabilitation and to relearn to dance. He since took again the drives thanks to the assistance of his former professor Max Bozzoni. He danced in a Musical comedy in 2001 forever taken again but the career of his days of glory.

In 2005, it takes part in the emission of TF1 Firm Celebrities 2 .

It currently gives courses of ballet dancing in a Parisian school.

He is the author of a Autobiographie entitled Star .

In 2007, he becomes jury for the emission of M6 Incroyable Talent.
