Patricia Cornwell
Patricia D. Cornwell (born Patricia Carroll Daniels the June 9th 1956 with Miami, in Florida) is an American écrivaine .
Biography
Patricia Daniels is a downward of Harriet Beecher Stowe. Shortly after obtaining its diploma in Davidson College (North Carolina), it marries its English professor Charles Cornwell the June 14th 1980. This one leaves teaching to become Pasteur and Patricia starts to write a biography of the woman of Billy Graham. They divorce shortly after in 1988.She continues however her career of journalist, specializing in the criminal news items and the firearms.
Then, it occupies a post of data processing specialist at the Mortuary of Richmond in Virginia. It is inspired then by the director of the mortuary to create a character of novel which it decided to undertake: Kay Scarpetta .
Its Romance first Postmortem , published in 1990, puts in scene Kay Scarpetta, a lady doctor legist. This book obtains many Anglo-Saxon prices of the detective novel: the Dagger Award , the Macavity Award , the Anthony Award and very envied Edgar Poe Award . In 1992, in France, it obtains the Prix of the novel of adventures .
Consequently, Patricia Cornwell endeavors to make live many adventures with her heroin but also written another series in parallel putting in scene Judy Hammer and Andy Brazil.
